We Have Power Over the Devil

Although Satan has only a short time, he is doing great damage

in the earth today. He particularly has stepped up his work

due to the nearness of the Lord's return. He knows that at that

time the Bible says he will be cast out of the earth, just as he was

cast out of heaven.

 

We have no reason ever to fear the devil when we belong to

God and are walking in His will. In fact, we have been given authority

over Satan and all his devils.

 

Luke 10:17-20, And the seventy returned again with joy,

saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy

name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall

from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents

and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy:

and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding

in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but

rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

 

Many of God’s people suffer needlessly under Satan’s oppression

and evil works because they have not been taught their

authority in Christ. In the name of Jesus, we can cast out demons

and set the captives free (Mark 16:17-18). The Lord told us that

nothing could harm us and that all power over the devil would be

ours.
