Why Me O, LORD?
This image portrays the sufferings and pains of the world. However, it is inevitable that many innocent children around the world are victims of this picture. Why is God letting these blameless children to die? When we face these pictures, we are tempted to question even His existence. But the Bible says that this didn't happen because of Him.
Let us go to Genesis chapter 1. Verse 10 says, "...and God saw that it was good." "...(verse 12) and God saw that it was good." "...(verse 18) and God saw that it was good." "...(verse 21) and God saw that it was good." "...(verse 25) and God saw that it was good." "(verse 31) And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." According to the Bible, the original plan for this world was that it was to be good. When God created man, verse 31 says that it was very good. Whatever God creates, it is good. However... let's go to Matthew 13:24-30. Here, Jesus is using a parable. The field is the world, the sower is Jesus, and His enemy, of course, is Satan. In verse 27, the servant asks Jesus, "Didn't you sow the good seed in the field? But why do they have tares?" Jesus replied in verse 28, "I didn't do it. It was the enemy who has done this." All the sickness around the world, all the wickedness, and evil are not created by God. It was Satan who established all this.
Note: Now, you might ask, "Then, why isn't God stopping this from happening?" Eventually, the world will come to an end. It is prophesized that Jesus will come the second time and save the righteous forever. Until then, God gave the Prince of darkness to rule over the earth.
As Christians, God gave us freedom of choice to either follow God or Satan. And through thosde righteous people who obey God's commandments, Satan is proved that God is good, just, and love. Friends, which side are you on today?
So do not worry about the children who are suffering. Although some babies were/are born to live for few seconds, they all were created by God for a reason. [Colossians 1:16-17] Besides, the Bible gives us a hint that all the innocent babies are going to heaven. "...Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and THEY SHALL COME AGAIN FROM THE LAND OF THE ENEMY." [Jeremiah 31:15,16]
Friends, I pray that you have a firm belief that God is love. Our God is love. He wouldn't want us to be sick, suffering from diseases... Like I said in Wounded Healer, Jesus is our healer. He came to save us from sin and He will soon come again and save us forever from this wretched world. So let us wait for that day when God shall wipe away all the tears from our eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain... [Revelation 21:4] Let us rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulations, and continue in prayers. [Romans 12:12] For He will come and save us.
